Markay
Markay' is a Wollongong based covers duo featuring Mark Gales and Kaylene Wright, the Duo was formed in 2017 and are currently performing in numerous venues throughout the Illawarra and south coast. Their music contains a range of hits from modern artists such as Pink and Bruno Mars, Aussie classics from the 80s and 90s, and older classics from the Rolling Stones and Motown records.
Kaylene Wright (Vocals + Percussion)
Kaylene started her career 10 years ago with duo ‘Limelight’ and learned quickly what audiences were looking for in a covers act. In that time she has learned to read audiences and to construct a night of entertainment for them, which makes her an asset to any venue or party. She later formed an 80s concept show ‘Afterdark’ which created a big following through the Illawarra and Sydney club scene. Kaylene's career then took her to a vocal duo named ‘Blondacity’ where she returned to the local duo gigs. She is now fronting Markay bringing her knowledge of the music scene and her vocal talents to a venue near you.
Mark Gales (Guitar + Vocals)
Mark is a local guitarist who has played with an assortment of acts over the last 20 years, he is comfortable playing any style of music and is a great match for Kaylene in this duo. Marks attention to detail from sound to appearance sets Markay a step above in the industry. Paired with Kaylene this is definitely a duo to watch out for.
