Manda Shamin Nichamin
Manda has been singing and playing guitar since the age of 8 in 1969, and has performed consistently as a solo entertainer with much success on the South Coast of New South Wales, Southern Highlands, Central Coast as well as Sydney. In 2009 Manda returned from a 3-month stint at the opening of The Kandooma Resort in the Maldives where she performed 6 nights per week for dinner guests from all nationalities and walks of life.
Manda has been busy working on updating her vast repertoire after leaving the industry in 2021 to work as a support worker in Disability after the Pandemic pulled the rug out from under the live music scene.
Mandas’ repertoire consists of all popular genres including Country, Country-Rock, Blues, Jazz, Contemporary, as well as many of the early folk & country songs that gained her popularity in the early days performing first as a solo act, later morphing into Mandy Sharmin and The Southern Comfort Band, Rob and Mandy/Wilson Sharmin Duo, The Barnjivers, a Line Dancing Band who held a residency at the Yallah Woolshed in the early 90’s during the Line Dancing Craze & Heart of Soul trio in the late 90;s, and various other line ups before returning to solo work in 2001.
Manda happily plays to audiences of all ages and regular updating of new and old songs enables Mandy to please just about everyone’s taste.
