Kate Young
Kate Young, a Wollongong Local. Has a gravelly voice that’s capable of soft ballads and new pop but that really finds its stride in belting out anthemic favourites from generations of pub rock, blues and rock and roll.
Kate began her music career under the teachings and direction of some of the Illawarra’s finest and well-established musicians in acoustic trio The Incidentals. In the time since, she has honed her skills across NSW and Victoria as well as the United Kingdom and Carnival Cruise lines out of the USA. Kate strives to keep her audiences dancing, laughing and singing along to everything from the 60s through to now. She prides herself on an ability to fulfil requests arming herself with an arsenal of hit songs and favourites along with forgotten numbers and one hit wonders.
